மன்னை ப. நாராயணசாமி அவர்கள் (19.10.1919 – 17.10.1993)


தஞ்சைப் பெரியார், தன்மானத் தளகர்த்தர், சுயமரியாதை சுடரொளி, முன்னாள் அமைச்சர்

  • தந்தை பெரியாரின் சீடராய், பேரறிஞர் அண்ணாவின் இளைவலாய், டாக்டர் கலைஞரின் உற்ற தோழனாய் இருந்து ஒருங்கிணைந்த தஞ்சை மாவட்டத்தில் திராவிட இயக்க காவலராக திகழ்ந்தவர்.
  • தீண்டாமையை எதிர்த்துப் போராடியவர்.
  • சுயமரியாதைத் திருமணங்களை அதிக அளவில் தலைமை ஏற்று நடத்தியவர்.
  • இந்தி எதிர்ப்புப் போராட்டம், கள்ளக்குடி போராட்டம், மிசா போராட்டம், மும்முனைப் போராட்டம், கருப்புக்கொடி போராட்டம், ஈழத்தமிழர் உரிமை மீட்புப் போராட்டம், தீவெண்ணமணி போராட்டம், பேருந்து தொழிலாளர்கள் போராட்டம், விவசாயக் கூலி உயர்வு போராட்டம், காவிரி நதி நீர் உரிமை மீட்புப் போராட்டம், நங்கவரம் போராட்டம், சட்ட நகல் எரிப்பு போராட்டம் போன்ற பல போராட்டங்களில் களம் கண்டு சிறை சென்றவர்.
  • இப்போராட்ட நிகழ்வுகள் “நெஞ்சுக்கு நீதி” நூலில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.
  • 1970 – வாரியத் தலைவர், தமிழ்நாடு கூட்டுறவு சந்தைப்படுத்துதல் கூட்டமைப்பு (TNCMF).
  • 1972 – சட்ட மேலவை உறுப்பினர்.
  • தமிழக அமைச்சர் – உணவுத்துறை, வேளாண்மைத் துறை, உள்ளாட்சித்துறை, வீட்டு வசதித்துறை, கூட்டுறவுத்துறை ஆகிய பொறுப்புகளில் பணியாற்றியவர்.
  • கோவை அரசு வேளாண்மை பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் இணைவேந்தர்.
  • 1985 – “தந்தை பெரியார் விருது” பெற்ற முதல் நபர்.

  • மலை குலைந்தாலும் நிலை குலையாத கொள்கைப் பிடிப்புடையவர்.
  • பேரறிஞர் அண்ணாவின் பேரன்பைப் பெற்ற தன்மானக் காவலர்.

தமிழர் முதல்வர் டாக்டர் கலைஞர் (1973)

அஞ்சா நெஞ்சுடன் இயக்கத்திற்கு அர்ப்பணித்து, இனப்பற்றையும் மொழிப்பற்றையும் காப்பாற்றியவர் – நம் மன்னை.

Thanjai Periyar | Champion of Self-Respect | Former Minister

  • A devoted disciple of Periyar, a close associate of Arignar Anna, and a trusted companion of Dr. Kalaignar. He emerged as a guardian of the Dravidian Movement in the then undivided Thanjavur district.
  • Fought strongly against untouchability.
  • Conducted and presided over numerous Self-Respect marriages.
  • Participated in and was imprisoned during several major public movements including the Anti-Hindi Agitation, Kallakudi Protest, MISA Movement, Multi-Front Agitation, Black Flag Protest, Eelam Tamil Rights Movement, Keezhvenmani Protest, Transport Workers’ Movement, Agricultural Labour Wage Movement, Cauvery Water Rights Movement, Nangavaram Protest, and several other social justice struggles.
  • These historical struggles were documented in the book *“Nenjukku Neethi.”*
  • *1970* – Chairman, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Marketing Federation (TNCMF).
  • *1972* – Member of Legislative Council.
  • Served as Minister for Food, Agriculture, Local Administration, Housing, and Cooperation in Tamil Nadu.
  • Served as Pro-Chancellor of Coimbatore Agricultural University.
  • *1985* – First recipient of the prestigious *Periyar Award*.
  • Member of the DMK Trust Property Protection Committee.
